      No sir. Every one of those is a different shot. Stillness creates such great consistency that even a wedge wizards Eye gets fooled.

    Hi Jim I’m 80 tried your swing keeping my shoulders 45degree with body not turning but tendency is to hit ground before ball as not rotating the body?

    • @jimvenetosgolf
      @jimvenetosgolf День тому

      You’re not hitting the ground before the ball because you’re not rotating your body. You’re hitting the ground before the ball because your weight is hanging back on your trail foot. The correction is to improve your set up position and keep your weight anchored on the lead foot. The swing I teach works. It works for you. It works for your friends. it works for your children. It simply works if you apply the system properly.

    7 degrees! Looks about right! 48"!!! Crazy! Just kidding 350! 😅😅😅 Haven't used my driver for quite some time, getting my iron swing consistent first. At this point I would be lucky to hit the ball at all with a 48" driver!!

    I've got one problem - the suggestion earlier in the video was that the target line was perpendicular to the leading edge of the mat. The tracer right at the end suggested that the ball would land well right of that target line. Did it do everything else that was stated ? Yes. It's just that it didn't appear to land within a reasonable distance from the target line.

    Every now and then out of the blue I “get it”, but then lose it the next day. Once on a driving range I figured something out where I was flushing my irons 20-30 yds longer; woods weren’t working though. Anyway, this resonates with me.

    have been playing golf for a long time. youtube served your channel up to me a day or so ago. took your ideas to the range tonight. clearly you must be a genius. the left shoulder, the circle, 70% of my weight on my left side and set shoulders closed. took me a bit of time to get used to NOT turning my shoulders, staying still and just letting my swing happen. was pumping them out there as far as I ever have. was soooo much easier not thinking about all the crap that I have heard my whole life about what to do. you have simplified the golf swing down to its most basic and essential elements. I think the golf teaching industry is like just about ever other service industry...it's all about billable hours. the more they can keep someone coming back the better for them. so ignorance is on their side. the last thing they want to do is help someone in a lesson or two. if I ever get out to palm springs I will look you up. would love to thank you in person. that desert set up of yours looks like it is right up my alley. no frills. love it! thanks again!

      It would be great to see a driver shot shaping short or lesson. I’m a member! I get fades are less desirable after seeing the crazy result from a draw with this effortless swing and spin it creates. But sometimes more fun to fade around a dog leg right versus going over the pine trees!

    hi Jim, great video. I like these long sessions with you. I also love training this way. However, I've heard and read that it's not helpful to always practice the same distance from the same position with the same club, as it's not realistic. On the other hand, I understand that it's great to master a specific shot from a certain distance and be able to consistently lay it there, rather than having a somewhat confusing mix of different lengths with different clubs in your mind. What's your opinion on this?

    Jim you mention at 3:40 mark that you are a little open to the target line. Is this right? You typically ask for a closed pivoted stance for long game. Just making sure I heard and understood correctly. Thanks for the videos!

    I had been closing my front side with 70% of my weight on my front side as instructed. I could not hit a draw always a fade. I saw s video of Jim's that explained that the back shoulder needs to stay back. Now I totally get the swing! I was doing everything correct except using a traditional shoulder turn, which does not work for this swing. Love this method!!

    I finally see how to maintain my position through the swing. I was turning my back shoulder as per traditional swing that does not work for this method, as I couldn't figure out why I was always hitting a fade. Thank You! Going to practice this tomorrow.

    Using Jim's method, but cannot hit a draw! Every shot was a fade, not a slice but a slight fade. Could not figure out why? Was making great ball contact but every shot was a fade. Maybe my grip? Ball position? I used a strong grip and a normal grip, made no difference a slight fade. I am left handed so the the ball was going slightly to my left. Maybe gripping to hard?? HELP!

    I use this method, it is fantastic! The stillness is the hardest part, once you get it its fantastic! I tried a traditional swing the other day snd I went DiCaprio!! The stillness for me still needs work, as Jim said I have some traditional swing moments I need to remove in relation to my arm motions and just swing the club

    • @jimvenetosgolf
      @jimvenetosgolf 11 днів тому

      The ball you play is relative to your skill level, budget, and how you want the ball to perform. Since you’re just starting out, I suggest focusing your energy and money on developing and consistent and repeatable swing. Once you achieve that then you could select a ball, that would fill those three requirements
